yesterday (monday) was supposed to be my first day back on plan. i did fairly well considering ive been eating pretty much whatever i want for the last month. i am to have 23 points per day (i am following the old plan) here's how my day went;
breakfast - egg beater omelette (1/2c) with 1 slice of cheese = 2pts
snack - mousse temptations jello snack = 1pt
lunch - lean cuisine meal = 5pts
snack - special k crisp bar = 2 pts
i had 2 cookies in the afternoon. no idea on points.
dinner - cheese sausage on a bun = 11pts with noodles = 3pts
snack - fun size snickers = 1pt
total is 24 points plus whatever the cookies were. not so good. but i did also get in 3 bottles of water.
hopefully today will be a better day

uuughhh
during my last blog post my computer crashed :( i lost all my pictures and documents so wasnt able to add a recent pic so here it is now. not the best picture, but i do my best to avoid the camera so this is all there is.
now onto the more important things. my diet. well to put it bluntly -- it has not been good lately. i was trying the IF, but i havent been able to stick to it. i've had alot on my mind and have been stressed out so have been eating more than i should. im not happy that im starting to put weight back on though so i plan to get back on track. starting monday i will follow my weight watchers plan and do 1or 2 24 hour fasts during the week. i have got to drop these 10 pounds. its soon going to be dress fitting time.

Intermittent Fasting
I've been doing some reading lately on Intermittent Fasting and thought I'd give it a go to jump start my weight loss and hopefully get me under the weights I've been struggling with. Ideally I'd like to drop about 10 pounds quickly then get back on my weight watchers plan cause i know it works.
I gave my first shot to IF the other day. The plan was to eat dinner Sunday evening then go from 6pm that day to 6pm the next day without eating. It didnt exactly go as planned. I did however make it from 6pm Sunday to about 4pm Monday evening (22 hours instead of 24) not bad for my first time. It was actually alot easier than i expected. I was hungry, but i drank lots of water, tea and diet pop to curb my hunger which seemed to help. I did not feel lightheaded or dizzy as I expected. The biggest problem I encountered was that I came off my fast at a friends bbq so ate way too much food afterwards (amazing how much you can eat after going that long without food, lol) so i didnt see any improvement on the scale. (but i ate alot of stuff and didnt go up either so i guess thats good)
today i decided to try an alternative way of IF. to only eat during a 5 hour window. I wonder if that will work better? my plan is to not eat all day (ok i have ate 1 timbit before i fully committed) then have a snack at 3, dinner with the family at 5, then a snack at 7. the idea is that i cant possibly eat as much in 5 hours as i would all day.......im going to make sure i dont. of course with doing IF i will be monitoring my weight daily to see how its going. if this is going well i will probably mix the 2. do the 5 hrs eating daily, combined with 1 24hr fast per week. I have got to get past this hurdle im at.
today i weighed in at 174.4. I am hungry but off to drink some water and maybe get C down for a nap to distract me....wish me luck!

back to the beginning
I have decided to start this blog as my own kinda on line weight loss journal in hopes to get me motivated and back on track. to give you a bit of background (and for my own sake) i'm going back to the beginning..
I started my weight loss journey back in August 2010. I went to a family function, and after seeing the photos realized how big I had gotten. I knew I had to do something. At this time I weighed in at 211 pounds. These are the photos that opened my eyes.
At this time I decided to do weight watchers. I had done it in the past and it worked, so I started again using tools i found online and didnt have to pay for. In no time I seemed to have things under control.
April 6 - 166.6 pounds, April 13 170.0, April 27 still 170.0
May 9 - 169.6 pounds, May 23 174.6(!!!!)

- Jan 1 2011 =180.8 (down 30.2)
- Feb 1 2011 =176.6 (down 34.4)
- Mar 1 2011 =172.2 (down 38.8)
- Apr 1 2011 =169.6 (down 41.4) - during this month i made it all the way down to 166.6
April 6 - 166.6 pounds, April 13 170.0, April 27 still 170.0
May 9 - 169.6 pounds, May 23 174.6(!!!!)
